Voxon Photonics has created the world’s first holographic display system, voxiebox.

Developed by founding partners Will Tamblyn and Gavin Smith, voxiebox is a futuristic holographic display that produces 3D moving images and interactive content within a physical 3D space rather than on a flat screen.

The technology works by projecting thousands of slices of images of an object onto a moving screen. Each second, the viewer’s eyes blend the slices together to form volumetric 3D objects that can be viewed from any direction without special glasses.
