MassChallenge is a United States-based not-for-profit start-up accelerator program providing support to the highest-impact and highest-potential start-ups and entrepreneurs.
The program has supported 835 companies worldwide, which have raised more than US$1.4 billion in funding and generated more than US$575 million in revenue, and created more than 50,000 jobs.
The State Government invested AU$280,000 to become a diamond founding partner in the Australian Bridge to MassChallenge program.
Other founding partners include the Commonwealth Government, the Victorian and New South Wales governments, Microsoft, and Monash University.
Four South Australian startups will join six other national teams to represent Australian in a five-day boot camp in Boston from 6-10 February, and will compete for a share of the prize pool of over $3 million in cash awards.
